Ruby Rose, MD, ABOIM, IFMCP
Ruby Rose, MD is a medical doctor double board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Integrative Medicine
I was entering into my junior year as a biology major at Vassar College and had no idea what I wanted to do when I graduated. I grew up in a large busy family in NYC and was fascinated by nature and science, often getting lost in my shelf of Britannica books and drawing birds. I had many odd jobs, first as the“built-in” babysitter for my 3 younger brothers and later waiting tables, bartending and modeling. This experience exposed me to all sorts of people and I found myself enjoying this immensely. Taking a college course EMT class opened my eyes to medicine. From there, it was a simple transition to the fast-paced, multigenerational field of Emergency Medicine, where I thrived as a flight physician during residency.

After years practicing as a busy ER doctor while raising 3 young children, I realized the impact this work lifestyle was having on my health and was frustrated by the limited treatment options available to me at the time. So, I decided to pursue a longtime interest in complementary medicine and completed a fellowship at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine which transformed my approach to health and allowed me to eliminate 90% of my previous diagnoses.

I later pursued Functional Medicine to better understand perimenopause, which I had been navigating and misdiagnosed for years. Starting hormone replacement therapy was a game changer for me.

Through integrative and functional methods that combine nutrition, mind-body awareness, movement and hands-on healing, I have found my passion and tool for helping others face similar challenges. Today, I integrate complementary therapies with traditional medical practices, adopting a hands-on approach that allows me to spend quality time with each client to optimize their recovery and overall health. I enjoy drawing from my Emergency Medicine knowledge tackling stubborn medical conundrums in all ages.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy equestrian sports, crafts and healthy cooking along with spending quality time with my 3 amazing kids, husband and 3 adopted dogs.
